We run a full range of First Aid courses for your organisation and give you the option of a course with a formal qualification on the IQL framework, accredited by First Aid Awards.

Or if a formal qualification is not important to you, and you want to save a bit of money, you may wish for a course that is certified by Another Level Training Ltd. All our courses have exceptionally high standards of content and delivery and satisfy HSE requirements for a First-Aid Training Provider.

FAA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid

The qualification is designed for learners with a responsibility for the care of children and babies on a professional level. The purpose of the qualification is for the learner to attain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations. This qualification fulfils the requirements for first aid training detailed in the Department for Education’s Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage.

Learners who achieve this qualification will meet Ofsted requirements but it is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that there is adequate cover for the establishment of both 2-day and 1-day qualified paediatric First Aid personnel.

  • 12 Hours / 2 Days face to face training
  • Up to 12 learners aged 16 years or over, per trainer
  • Multiple Choice Written Paper and Practical Assessment throughout the course

Paediatric First Aid Blended Learning

If you are struggling to release staff for 2 full days face to face training, this option could be ideal for you. Candidates do 4.5 hours of online training at their own pace and when they have passed that section, they then complete 1 Day face to face.

The qualification is designed for learners with a responsibility for the care of children and babies on a professional level. The purpose of the qualification is for the learner to attain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations. This qualification fulfils the requirements for first aid training detailed in the Department for Education’s Statutory framework for the early year’s foundation stage.

  • Learners who achieve this qualification will meet Ofsted requirements but it is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that there is adequate cover for the establishment of both 2-day and 1-day qualified paediatric First Aid personnel.
  • 12 Hours. 4.5 hours online training and 7.5 hours face to face training
  • Up to 12 learners aged 16 years or over, per trainer
  • Online Assessment Questions, Multiple Choice Written Paper and Practical Assessment throughout the face to face element of the course.

Day 1 – Online eLearning

  • Role of the paediatric first aider
  • Chronic medical conditions and illnesses
  • Electric shock incidents
  • Eye injuries and Foreign bodies
  • Effects of heat and cold
  • Burns and scalds
  • Poisoning
  • Bites and stings
  • Anaphylaxis – this will also be covered on Day 2, with practical

Day 2 – Face to Face

  • Primary survey
  • Unconscious casualty
  • Secondary assessment
  • Resuscitation and defibrillation
  • Seizures
  • Choking
  • Wounds, bleeding and shock
  • Bones, joints and muscle injuries
  • Head and spinal injuries
  • Anaphylaxis and practical use of an auto-injector

FAA Level 3 Award Emergency Paediatric First Aid

The qualification is designed for learners with a responsibility for the care of children and babies and provides the knowledge and skills to deal with a range of paediatric first aid conditions and incidents.
The FAA Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid qualification is unit 1 of the two-day FAA Award in Paediatric First Aid qualification. From gaining this emergency paediatric first aid qualification learners could progress to completing unit 2 and being awarded the 2-day FAA Award in Paediatric First Aid.

This qualification fulfils the requirements for first aid training detailed in the Department for Education’s Statutory framework for the early year’s foundation stage. Learners who achieve this qualification will meet Ofsted requirements but it is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that there is adequate cover for the establishment of both 2-day and 1-day qualified paediatric First Aid personnel.

  • 6 Hours / 1 Day
  • Up to 12 learners aged 16 years or over, per trainer
  • The qualification is assessed through practical demonstration and related oral questioning.
