Safeguarding children and vulnerable adults is everyones responsibility, however in certain professions or activities (such as sports clubs and coaching), this becomes an integral part of your role.

FAA Level 1 Award in the Awareness of Safeguarding

The qualification is aimed at all persons who have contact with children or adults at risk and will provide them with a good understanding of safeguarding and the knowledge to identify possible safeguarding concerns and know how and who to report these too.

  • Up to 16 candidates aged 14 or over
  • 4 Hours
  • This qualification is assessed by a written assessment paper

FAA Level 3 Award in Principles of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults

The qualification is designed for learners who have contact with children, young people or vulnerable adults in their working environment including voluntary work.

The qualification promotes awareness and sensitivity to safeguarding enabling learners to be able to identify issues and emphasises the responsibility to ensure that concerns are reported and acted on appropriately.

  • Up to 12 Candidates aged 18 or over
  • 7 Hours usually delivered over 1 Day. However, the delivery model can be flexible
  • The qualification is assessed by written assessment
