
Essential Health and Safety Courses
Along with a suite of accredited courses, all courses listed can be delivered with Another Level Training Ltd certification.
The courses can be delivered as stand-alone modules or we also have the ability to mix and match modules to suit your organisational requirements as well as producing bespoke courses that are specific to your staff target group.
Some courses are also available as an “online” option, for employees to complete at their own pace. On completion, an online assessment will have to be successfully passed in order for the employee to receive their certificate.
Fire Safety Awareness
This training is an ideal introduction to fire safety awareness for employees and a strong basis for undertaking further fire safety training.
The training provides learners with an understanding of the key principles of fire safety from cause to prevention and response.

Fire Marshall Training
Aimed at those who have a responsibility as a Fire Marshall, this training provides an all-round knowledge of what to do in the event of a fire, a clear understanding of the responsibilities and duties of a fire marshal and practical hands-on experience of tackling a controlled fire with a fire extinguisher.

- Assessment is through written assessment, oral questioning and practical assessment
FAA Level 1 Award in Health and Safety
The qualification is an introduction to health and safety in the workplace and can form part of an employee’s induction programme or a basis for a learner wishing to gain higher levels of training in this area.
The qualification provides learners with a basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace under UK health and safety legislation ensuring that the working environment is safe and healthy.
The qualification is available to learners aged 14 or over but a learner cannot assume a responsibility in the workplace until they reach the age of 16.

FAA Level 2 award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
The qualification is aimed at learners in a variety of work environments and will develop awareness of health and safety within an organisation.
The qualification provides learners with essential knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace under UK health and safety legislation and is also an ideal platform to higher level training or career development.
- Up to 1 Candidates aged 16 or over
- 6 Hours
- The qualification is assessed by a written multiple-choice assessment
FAA Level 2 award in Manual Handling
The risks arising from manual handling have been recognised by the Health and Safety Executive as evidenced in their regulations and advisory notices promoting good practice.
The qualification is designed for those who carry out manual handling at work and provides essential information about controls and hazards. Employers are required to take appropriate steps, including training, to reduce the risk of injury to employees who carry out any manual handling activities at work.
- Up to 16 candidates aged 14 or over
- 6 Hours
- The qualification is assessed through practical demonstration of efficient and safe manual handling and a written assessment paper
COSHH
Aimed at employees who work with any form of chemicals, this training provides an understanding of hazardous substances, as outlined within the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH). It will equip employees with the knowledge needed to identify hazardous substances in the workplace, understand the legal requirements of COSHH and conduct COSHH Risk Assessments.
This certificate does not have an expiry date. However, based on industry best practice guidelines, the recommended renewal period for this training is 1 year.

Risk assessments
Risk assessments are a legal requirement for all types of workplaces. By law, every employer must undertake this kind of assessment for health and safety risks within their working environment. This training covers both what risk assessments are, as well as how and when to perform them. helps employees to understand each of the key steps of a risk assessment, including how to identify risks, manage hazards and determine the likelihood of harm.

Display Screen Equipment Risk Assessments
Aimed at “desk-based employees”, these individual risk assessments highlight potential hazards to the individual as well as the production recommendations to management to limit risk of injury to the individual.
- Up to 20 Individual Risk assessments per day
Display Screen Equipment Training
Aimed at employees who are regular users of Display Screen Equipment. This training gives candidates an overview of what risks may occur when using display screen equipment and how best to position themselves and set up their individual work stations in order to minimise these risks.
